Central portion of site.

East-central portion of Block 200.

Structure Use

Based on other kivas occupied during the Pueblo II period, Structure 243 was probably used in a combination of domestic and ritual activities. Because Crow Canyon Archaeological Center did not excavate this structure the study unit use is unknown. The presence of a hearth indicates the structure was used for domestic activities. The presence of a sipapu indicates that the structure had a ritual use.

Abandonment

Probably abandoned in the early Pueblo III period.

Postabandonment

Unknown; not recorded by Colorado Mountain College.
