Structure 229, other masonry structure
About this Structure
Central portion of site.
North-central portion of Block 200; within depression created by collapse of Structure 225; exposed by Backhoe Trench 228.
Because this structure is dry-laid, contained no prepared surfaces or features, and was unroofed, the use of the structure is unknown. Members of the Native American Advisory Team interpreted structures like Structure 229 as a shrine.
Structure 229 was abandoned immediately prior to regional abandonment.
Natural sediments accumulated within and above this structure.
