Structure 137, subterranean structure, type unknown
About this Structure
Central portion of site.
Along north wall of great house; Architectural Block 100; below Structure 126; 507.3N 520.2E.
The function of this structure is unknown. Only a small portion of this structure was tested within Excavation Unit 165. This structure may be an earth-walled pit structure.
Structure 137 was intentionally burned prior to abandonment in the Early Pueblo III period. The burned roof sediments collapsed onto the structure floor.
Natural wind and water sediments and cultural material (Nonstructure 9024) washed into the depression and covered the roof sediments.
