Structure 116, nonmasonry surface room
About this Structure
Northwest part of site.
Approximately 8 m northwest of Oversized Pithouse 101-103 and adjacent to the west side of of Structure 110.
Structure 116 is in the west-central portion of a longer series of rooms. This deep pit room used for general storage and ornament production during the occupation of the site.
This room appears to have gone out use prior to other nearby surface rooms (e.g., Structure 110).
An intrusive pit was excavated into this structures fill after it was decomissioned (Feature 1, Nonstructure 109).
