Nonstructure 2.2-N, extramural surface

Outdoor constructed surface adjacent to, and north of, a D-shaped building (Structure 17). Unlike most of the surfaces exposed in the rim complex, this surface was not built as part of the construction of a wall. It is not clear why the surface was constructed, it may have been part of a plaza surface.

Constructional fill (see Strata G, H, and I on Map 121 and Strata 4 and 5 in PD record) was deposited directly on bedrock and within bedrock cracks to create a level surface; top of fill defines surface.

None observed, although the presence of multiple subfloor construction deposits may suggest that remodeling might have occurred.
