Nonstructure 7.4-N, midden
About this Nonstructure
Upper west side. On a slope, immediately west of main drainage. Below a ledge where a cluster of buildings that includes Structure 8 (a tested kiva) is located.
Lower fill of Segment 2 (EU 44). Rests below Nonstructures 7.1-N and 7.3-N.
Part of Nonstructure 7-N testing; see Nonstructure 7-N and associated EU for description and explanation of testing strategy.
Refuse that consists of a lot of discarded constructional sediment; probably originated from the structures on the ledge to the north.
Covered by another refuse deposit.
Dating of Midden
Based on limited pottery data, refuse was deposited in the Pueblo III period. Based on stratigraphic position, this refuse predates another refuse deposit (Nonstructure 7.3-N).
