Nonstructure 905, extramural surface
About this Nonstructure
North part of the site.
At the north edge of the roomblock in Architectural Block 900.
Surface was encountered during excavations to expose a segment of the outside face of the north wall of this roomblock.
This surface was the prehistoric ground surface at the time Structure 903 was constructed
Was abandoned when occupation of Structure 903 ended
Cultural materials from the use activities that formed Nonstructure 901 accumulated on the surface
Dating of Construction
Surface was not constructed.
Dating of Abandonment
This surface was probably abandoned at the same time the associated pit structure (Structure 903) was abandoned. The presence of Pueblo III White Painted pottery on the floor of that structure leads to the inference that the structure was abandoned sometime after A.D. 1100.
