Nonstructure 3.2-N, extramural surface
About this Nonstructure
Upper west side. South of cliff face, on steep talus slope and south of a cluster of buildings that includes Structure 7 (a tested kiva).
Upper half of 1-x-1-m 390N 406E (EU 10); rests near top of Nonstructure 3.3-N and below Nonstructure 3.1-N.
Part of Nonstructure 3-N testing; see Nonstructure 3-N and associated EU for description and explanation of testing strategy.
Ephermal surface in fill that is associated with the construction of an extramural wall (Feature 1).
Probably abandoned as this part of the site was abandoned.
Covered with postoccupational colluvium that includes redeposited secondary refuse.
Dating of Construction
Not constructed. Because this surface rests in a secondary refuse deposit (Nonstructure 3.3-N) that dates between A.D. 1000 and 1300, this surface is thought to have been used during that time period as well.
Dating of Remodeling
Dating of Abandonment
Probably abandoned when this area of the site was abandoned as there are no cultural, occupational deposits resting above this surface.
Dating of Reuse
No evidence of reuse.
