Specific Location

South-central portion of Block 200; within 1-x-1-m unit 497N 552E.

Selection Criteria

First 1-x-1-m unit randomly selected for excavation in Block 200. Nonstructure 201 was uncovered in this unit.

Use

This area was identified as a cultural deposit, but the fill is not dense in artifacts or ash to be considered secondary refuse. It is unknown how this study unit was used.

Abandonment

This area was no longer used after the late Pueblo III period.

Postabandonment Process

Natural sediments accumulated above Nonstructure 201 deposits; the upper portions were disturbed by plowing.

Dating of Construction

Based on pottery data (two Pueblo III sherds) this area was used during the Pueblo III period.

Dating of Remodeling

None evident.

Dating of Abandonment

This area was no longer used after the late Pueblo III period.
