Specific Location

Northwest portion of Block 100; within 1-x-1-m unit 513N 482E.

Selection Criteria

Fourth 1-x-1-m unit randomly selected for excavation in Block 100. Exposed Nonstructure 132.

Use

It is unknown how this study unit functioned. The artifact density was low and therefore, not a midden deposit.

Abandonment

This area was abandoned by the late Pueblo II period.

Postabandonment Process

After Nonstructure 132 fell out of use, an extramural surface (Nonstructure 108) was in use above these deposits.

Dating of Construction

Based on pottery data and superpositioning, this area was probably used during the late Pueblo II period. Nonstructure 108 is above Nonstructure 132 which dates from the Pueblo III period.

None evident.

Dating of Abandonment

This area was abandoned by the late Pueblo II period.
