Nonstructure 1.3-N, cultural deposit, type unknown
About this Nonstructure
Lower west side; base of talus slope near canyon bottom.
Segment 1 (EU 32), below Nonstructures 1.1-N and 1.2-N and above Nonstructures 1.4-N and 1.5-N.
Part of Nonstructure 1-N testing; see Nonstructure 1-N and associated EU for description and explanation of testing strategy.
Constructional fill that may have been deposited to create a terrace for farming.
An extramural surface was constructed on top of this deposit.
Dating of Construction
Pottery data are limited, but suggest fill was deposited in the Pueblo III period. The stratigraphic position of this deposit indicates that this deposit postdates a refuse deposit (Nonstructure 1.4-N) and an extramural surface (Nonstructure 1.5-N) and predates another extramural surface (Nonstructure 1.2-N).
