Structure 206, masonry surface structure

No means by which to date the abandonment of the structure, but the absence of trash in the fill suggests that abandonment probably occurred sometime after A.D. 1267, which is the latest tree-ring date for this kiva suite.
No tree-ring dates for this structure. Wall abutments indicate that this room was built after Structure 212 (tower) and Structure 205 (surface room), neither of which have been dated. Structure 206 was probably also built after Structure 204 (storage room), which was constructed or at least still in use until sometime after A.D. 1267.
No means of dating the remodeling, which consisted of the partial blocking of the of the doorway (Feature 4) in the southwest wall. This doorway was reduced in size and became a pass-through (an opening too small for an adult to get through). Possibly at the same time, a bin was added to the southwest corner of the room; the bin wall abuts the blocked portion of the aforementioned doorway.
No evidence of reuse.
