Structure 307, masonry surface structure

STRUCTURE DATING

Abandonment
No data--assumed to have been abandoned when occupation of the village ended--sometime after A.D. 1274.
Construction
No means of directly dating this structure; historic photos (Jackson photo 274, or 57-HS-541) (WHJ163) show approximately 33 vertical courses of masonry and include a complete doorway and a loophole. Construction style is consistent with late Pueblo III. Structure was probably constructed in association with either Structure 302 (tree-ring dated to A.D. 1261) or with Structure 304 (tree-ring dated to later than A.D. 1274).
Remodeling
