STRUCTURE DATING

Abandonment
Structure 117 was most likely abandoned in the Early Pueblo III period. This inference is based on the presence of Nonstructure 132 refuse above the roof sediments in Structure 117. Nonstructure 132 deposits date to the Early Pueblo III period.
Construction
Three tree-ring samples were collected from the roof of Structure 117. None of the samples dated. Structure 117 was most likely constructed in the Early Pueblo III period. This inference is based on architectural characteristics and the date of associated surface rooms to the north (Structure 184). Nonstructure 132 refuse was deposited above the collapsed roof of Structure 117 and date to the Early Pueblo III period.

None evident.
Reuse
Nonstructure 132 refuse was deposited in Structure 117 after it was abandoned.
